It's all over

Just a quick post to let you all know that everything went well with the surgery. I am back home and doing well. My throat is a little sore and am really hoarse. Other than that all is well.

Last day of being fertile

Well this is my last day of being fertile! Tomorrow morning I will be going in to get my tubal ligation done. Hopefully all goes well!

pictures from today

This morning Hunter and I went to McDonalds for breakfast, had a coupon. Then we went to story time at the library. While Jeff went and had a massage. Then home for lunch. Here are a few pictures of what is going on over at our house today. The first is what my son was playing quietly in his room, I figured out why. He was filling his pants. Then my son's not so suddle way of telling me he needed a diaper change. By bringing it to me and when I didn't do anything about it for a few seconds he proceeded to lay it out for me. How helpful! The last is of my husband. He was in his own little bubble today! :)

Hunter's proverb

If your eyes are wet from tears, mom's sleeves are the only thing that will work to dry them.

mice don't eat cheese

Hunter informed me at lunch today that mice don't eat cheese. He has a pretend mouse that he plays with frequently. Today at lunch he was having it eat rice with him. I told him that mice eat cheese not rice. He firmly informed me that mice don't eat cheese, peoples do.

Can anybody help me?!

I would like to download a new template for my blog, but can't figure it out. I download one, it automatically goes to my desktop as a zipped file. I unzip it, but that is as far as I can get. I can not for the life of me figure out how to input it onto my blog. Please someone out there must now how, cuz I see some of you have them! Please help the helpless! Thank you for any input anyone has!

some random pictures

Here are a few random pictures that I have taken recently. The first is Hunter with his new Chiefs hockey stick. Then a couple of Hunter using dad's pillowcase, with the pillow still in it, as a gunny sack to jump on the bed in. He thought of this all on his own one evening. Last one is Hunter with his new shirt from grampers Bruce that he wore today.

Not much new.

Well not too much new around here. We didn't do much of anything today. Hunter and I are feeling pretty crummy with our colds. Hunter has been more fussy and acting more tired recently, so hopefully that means he is on the mend.
Hunter and I went to Target this morning to see if they had the espresso maker in that I want to get. They still didn't have any in, but at least got some good info. The sale on them is until March 2nd, so have a little while before the sale is done. Also they informed me that they get a truck in Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So I can just call those mornings to see if they have received any, instead of stopping in. While we were there we didn't want the whole trip to go wasted, so we went to the dollar bins and found Hunter some new books, a M&M notepad for meeting, stickers, and some Cars magnets.
This afternoon Amy and I went the the desperate housewives shop hop. There are 5 boutique shops that participate and you get to browse around, get samples, and if you go early enough you get a free little gift at each shop. Amy and I did it last year too. We both agreed it seemed better last year. Although last year we went in the morning too, so got all our free gifts.

Awake at the crack of dawn.

Hunter was awake at the crack of dawn this morning. Or at least it felt like it! He has been fussy all day. His cold is sure dragging him down, and for a long time. Mine is dragging me down too. My mind felt like doing something today, but my body didn't. So Jeff, Hunter and I went shopping. We went to the kitchen store at the outlet mall looking for a new espresso maker. Ours went on the fritz about 2 weeks ago and Jeff is going a little crazy with out it. :) So as I said we went looking for an espresso maker, and left with a space saver coffee maker. The coffee maker we have right now still works, mind you, but it is also a 2-in-1 deal with the espresso and coffee maker. So we would eventually have to get a new coffee maker too. Today we came back home with the one thing that we have that still works and still don't have the espresso maker. Oh well, so goes. We also came home with one of the kitchen torches, for making creme brulee. Now that thing is a little scary to me!
After shopping we went out to TGI Fridays for lunch. I had the pecan crusted chicken salad. Yumm!

Colds, colds, colds

Seems that is what everyone over here has. Hunter has not been feeling well for the last few days. Started with a sore throat and runny nose. Now is runny nose and cough that keeps getting more congested sounding. Poor kid, it is really running him down. So needless to say we have not been doing much the last few days. Saturday night he was up most of the night, so Sunday we spent part of the morning napping. Then went to g'pa and g'ma's house for the afternoon. He didn't want to leave their house when it was time to go home and go to bed. He wanted to sleep there. I am sure that touched there hearts, but made it hard for me to get him out the door. Finally made it though by telling him he didn't have his pj's there and had a cold. I informed him that maybe when he gets to feeling better he can spend the night there.
Monday was laundry day and had to get some groceries. Then Hunter and I went to uncle Todd and auntie Amy's for supper. Hunter got to help uncle Todd put together a computer desk. He enjoys helping put things together, so he was in his glory.
Today I needed to get out to the gym. Was feeling the need, so dropped Hunter off at grammer's while I went to work out. Thankfully grammers was willing to watch the sick kid for a short time. Thank goodness for g'ma's! :)
So that is what we have been doing the last few days, in a nut shell. Wiping, blowing, coughing, and fussing.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Yesterday evening after a quick supper the family went to the auto show. Unfortunately we weren't there very long until Hunter cried out mom and then "burped", as he called it. Three times all on the carpeted floor. Poor guy. We think it was something he ate. Because about 20 minutes later when we got home he wanted to eat something and was running around playing hockey. Jeff joked about Hunter just not wanting to look at cars.
So needless to say, we all went back to the auto show this morning. Thank goodness for the stamps they invented to get back into shows. Today went a lot better and Hunter loved climbing in and out of almost every car! Then we went out for lunch and dessert. This evening Jeff's dad, Jeff and I are going to a hockey game while grammers stays with Hunter. Not sure how much fun grammers will have since little man is deciding not to take a nap today. Good luck grammers!

Thursday

Well this post is a day late. I meant to get it done yesterday, but then somebody took over my computer when I was thinking about posting. So needless to say it didn't get done.
Yesterday morning Hunter had a dentist appt. it was his second one. He did really well. Laid in the big chair and let the lady use the real dentist tooth brush. They call it the tickler. He goes to a kid's dental office. Their theme is fish, which makes Hunter happy. He got a prize from the dental office and then since he was so good I got him two little animals from Target. He was pretty excited about that.
After lunch Jeff woke up and so I asked Hunter if he was going to show dad what he got today. He took off to get the animals and says, "Gosh, I show you!". It is so funny hearing some of the things that come out of his mouth. They are a lot of times things that he has heard awhile ago and he just recalls them out of no where.
After Hunter's nap we went out to eat and then to the mall for a short while before we had to head to meeting. Hunter got to pick where we ate. So it was "the hop", otherwise known as IHOP. At meeting uncle Todd and auntie Amy sat behind us, so Hunter was turned around for most of the meeting. He wanted Amy to trace his hand a couple of times. Then he decided to lean over the chair and put his face down on the paper to have her trace that. Not sure where he came up with that idea! It looked pretty funny though.

Mom poop!

This is what I heard Hunter yelling at me from across the hall this evening. Needless to say, he was in the bathtub taking a bath when he yelled this to me. I look over at him and he is holding something up in his hand for me to see. Yep, you guessed it, a piece of poop. I quickly go in there and tell him to put it down, only to find 4 or 5 more pieces just like it laying in the bottom of the tub with about 3 inches of nice warm water. I then drained the water and proceeded to pick the soft poop out of the tub with wet toilet paper. Wipe the tub down with Clorox wipes and rinse it out. Then put some more water in the tub so my son can finish his bath and get cleaned, again. Only to have him yell at me a minute later, "poop again. MOM!" At least this time there was only one little turd at the bottom of the tub. Needless to say after that bath time was over! I made him get out of the tub and we went to dry him off. As I am drying him off he says "I pooped in the tub." I said "Yeah, why did you poop in the tub?" He answer to me, "It goes". Meaning that's how it goes.

Monkey on a motorcycle!

Yet another new phrase....

Last night and this morning Hunter has been telling me, "no worry". Not sure where he came up with this, but it is pretty sweet when he says it.

New phrase of the day.

Today Hunter's new phrase of the day are "Guess what?!" He said this to Jeff a couple times at the lunch table. Don't remember what it was that he said guess what about, but we didn't even guess and he told us. Think it was about story time at the library, which Hunter and I went to this morning.

We're back!

Well we are back from Seattle. Had a nice long weekend over there. Stayed in a very nice Embassy Suites hotel. Had huge choice of food for breakfast every morning. Then every evening they had a managers reception with drinks and snack foods to choose from. Our room was a two room king suite. So had the bedroom and then a bath and separate sitting room. Was very nice! Had a nice, new workout room off the pool area. Hunter loved the pool. We had bought some of those swim wings for on toddlers arms. He loved them! His famous words in the pool were, "I do it myself!"
We arrived in Bellevue, a nice town just east of Seattle, on Thursday afternoon. Friday it was cloudy and rainy off and on. Friday we went downtown Seattle to the aquarium on the ocean. Got to see a lot of live sea creatures. Including sea otters, sea lions, octopus, and starfish. Hunter's favorite were the birds, or rather ducks and puffins. You could touch some starfish, but Hunter opted out on that. After the aquarium we just walked along the sidewalk and looked at some shops and at the ocean view.
Saturday was cloudy again, but then cleared up just before noon. Saturday we went downtown Seattle again. We enjoyed Pike's Place Market and then walked uptown and enjoyed lunch at the Cheesecake Factory! After lunch we went on the Argossy boat cruise along the bay and learned about the scenery of Seattle.
Sunday was cloudy again in the morning, but cleared up quickly well before noon. Sunday morning we slept in and got packed up. Then went to the Bellevue Square Mall. It is a ritzy, very nice, big mall. Hunter enjoyed the play area on the third floor of the mall the most. Although he also found a toy store that was interesting as well. Dad wanted to take Hunter to the Lego store, but it was a little advanced for Hunter. Had mostly the small legos. While in the mall they had an automated emergency alarm go off. That was interesting, happen to be a false alarm thank goodness! After the mall we headed back home!
Oh yes, and of course Hunter enjoyed swimming every day. He kept calling the hotel his room. "We going back to my room?" was what we heard each day after our outings and then also on the way home a couple of times. I am including some pictures for you to enjoy. One of the hotel atrium, one or two of Hunter swimming, one of the space needle, and one of Hunter on the way home. Enjoy!

Prayers...

Today at lunch, for the first time while Hunter said his prayers for lunch "Jesus name, men" was in there amongst some ramblings. He has said it every prayer since. At least he has that part down!

Hide and Seek

Last night before Hunter went to bed Hunter and I played hide and seek. This is where I found him. In our closet in the hamper. Then we build a road out of his alphabet foam squares.

Very serious business

Did you know eating ice cream could be such serious business?!

Package

Yesterday Hunter got a package in the mail from grampers Bruce and grammers Judy. It had 3 shirts and a jacket in a plastic bag and then on top Hunter's long lost cell phone and monkey. Of course he spotted the cell phone and was very excited. He held it up and said, "My cell phone!". He glanced at the 2 John Deere shirts g'pa bought him and that was that.

Goodbyes

This morning Hunter and I met Larry, Ginny, grammers, and grampa for our last meal together before we took Larry and Ginny to the airport. Here are some pictures taken at the airport. Hunter would not get his picture taken with Larry or Ginny before they left.

Pretend napping

More fun stuff

Here are a few more things that Ginny and I found over the weekend. The Tigger bounces and says, "I feel like bouncing. That's what Tiggers to best!". The stacked coffee cups is a cookie jar. The top mug is the lid. Then the Winnie the Pooh tea pot, I just couldn't pass it up.
