tuckered out

Today Hunter and I went and helped pick up trash in front of the convention grounds. Then had potluck lunch with some of the Friends. While Jeff played street hockey with Todd in the afternoon Hunter and I hung out with Amy. Hunter helped Amy make banana bread, he mostly ate the floor off the counter. Then Hunter and Amy baked some cookies. When Jeff and Todd got back from hockey we all went out to eat together. Hunter almost fell asleep on the way to supper, but I kept him awake. We then dropped Todd and Amy off back home and then headed home ourselves. Hunter fell asleep on the way home. I carried him into the house and took his shoes off. Then carried him upstairs and laid him on our loveseat. Peanut then jumped up by him. So just had to take some pictures of one tuckered out little man. There is also a picture of Hunter with the birthday hat he picked out the other day. His birthday isn't for another month, but he wanted it.

Word of the day

Well today has been cooler outside. So not much playing outside was done today. Hunter and I did go to the library for story time this morning and then out for lunch. Then after lunch we stopped at Walmart to get Hunter a bike helmet.

The word of the day for Hunter today was: can't. It was a wonderful day of "I can't", "I can't".

more pictures

Here are a few pictures that I have taken recently. Jeff and Hunter went for a "run" on Friday. Hunter wanted to go with dad, so they went halfway around the block and back. Yesterday we had company for lunch and one of the ladies laid on the floor to take a little nap between meetings. So Hunter took the opportunity to read her a book. Sat. Hunter and dad dug a hole and planted a new tree. The other pictures are of Hunter climbing on his new monkey bars.

Latte break

Here is a picture of Hunter and Jeff enjoying their lattes that I made them yesterday afternoon. Don't worry his cup is not full! Hunter has been on a latte kick recently. Just like his dad and mom!

Another day

Well today is another nice day. A little on the chilly side, but not too bad. This morning Hunter and I brought some home made caramel rolls over to Daryl and Amy's house. Amy's mom, as you may remember, had some minor surgery on her back. So is staying with them and Amy is having to help her with things. So thought I would be nice and bring them all breakfast. Plus Hunter wanted to go over there and see Amy's mom's dog, Buddy. While there we had a little study, with the neighbor kids and their kids, per the norm. Then Hunter played with some of the toys they have. Then went outside to play on their swing set for a little while. He wanted to ride Alex's bike, who is 7 years old. Hunter couldn't really ride it, but mom held him up and pushed him around on it in the backyard for a little while. Then Amy, Hunter, Buddy and I went for a little walk down to a coffee shop and bakery. Hunter loved walking Buddy. When we got back from the walk Hunter and I played a little street hockey. When I finally told him we should be going home, he didn't want to, of course. Also he was ready to take Buddy home with him. He thought he should. I informed Hunter that, no that was Amy' mom's dog. Well he didn't think that she could have him. He wanted him. We finally left, and without the dog. I told him we would come back to visit next week. He was okay with that then. Once home he wanted to play with play-doh. That has been his new favorite past time, since Sunday when he got it from Auntie Amy for Easter. Thanks Amy! Keeps him occupied for hours! :)

Well I am including some pictures of my basketball player!

Today

Well yesterday we had Easter lunch at our house with Jeff's family. Pretty uneventful.
Today Hunter and I slept in. We had some breakfast and then went to the hospital to keep one of our friends company while she waited for her mom to have a minor surgery done. Hunter kind of likes going to the hospital, cuz that is where dad works. We stayed there for about half an hour and then came back home. On the way home Hunter wanted to go to his work. I asked where he works and he told me downtown. I asked where and he told me he didn't know. Well it's kind of hard to go to somewhere that you don't know. He told me maybe just go downtown. Well we were already kind of downtown and I wasn't going to go downtown just to drive around looking for Hunter's work. So I told him that we needed to go home and that he doesn't have a job. Well then the wailing and nashing came. "I always go to work." I was informed. I then told him, no you don't ALWAYS go to work because dad or mom would have to take him and we don't ALWAYS take him to work. He told me he does too work. Well this went on and on all the way home. From then on till nap time nothing was right. I'm sure you can imagine how exasperating this was for mom!

Today

Well another beautiful day out here! Hunter and I went for a walk this morning and then he played outside for awhile when we got back. He dug more holes with his shovel and moved dirt around. Boy, give that kid a shovel and some dirt and he is happy as a lark for hours!
Hunter ate lunch outside on the deck today. Then we brought him over to grammers house. He is spending the afternoon and night over there. This is the first time he has stayed over night at someones house with out mom. So will see how it goes! I'm sure since it is grammers house he will do just fine.
Jeff and I went out for lunch after dropping Hunter off at grammers. Then back home to do some cleaning for our lunch company on Sunday. I went for a motorcycle ride once I got some cleaning done. Was nice to get out on it again.

some pictures

Here are some pictures from today. Hunter's new word recently has been "awesome". Not sure where he picked this one up from, but yesterday he was playing hockey in the kitchen and he was talking to his imaginary friend and said, "that was a awesome party last night, wasn't it Charlie?" He has quite the imagination! There was no party, that I know of! Anyways, enjoy the pictures. Hunter and I have been enjoying the warm, sunny weather the last two days.

beautiful sunny day

Today was a beautiful sunny day, all day! Hunter and I enjoyed walking to the library for story time and then back home. Once we got home he didn't want to come inside. So brought his 4 wheeler out front and his trike. Then we ate lunch out on the front steps. Hunter really enjoyed being able to go outside finally.

This evening after supper Hunter needed his diaper changed. So I went in his room with him to change it. When I had him all cleaned up he told me he didn't want a diaper on. I asked if he wanted underwear on. He told me yeah, like dad. So we picked out a pair of big boy underwear and pulled them up. We got them an inch from being all the way up when he informed me fussily that he didn't want them on. So back on went a diaper. So close!
