This past weekend

The other day Hunter wanted some chocolate sprinkles, because he saw them in the cupboard. I wasn't going to let him just eat sprinkles so I got inventive. I used animal crackers and frosted them, and then put the sprinkles on top. As you can see he enjoyed them!

The year is only half over!

The year is only half over and both my "boys" have managed to get stitches. And all within a couple of months of each other! Hunter got them just before our convention the beginning of June and Jeff just got them this past weekend.
This past weekend we went to Todd and Amy's property and enjoyed the river, sun, boat, 4 wheelers and camping. Hunter went tubing and knee boarding behind the boat. He was also going to try his ski board, but then chickened out when it came time to sit right on the edge of the dock. Oh well, maybe next time. Anyways, on to the story of how my husband and I ended up in the ER on Saturday in a small town! Jeff was knee boarding behind the boat and when the boat was turning around he was on the outside of the wake, the one closest to shore. Needless to say he went into the rocky shore at about 30 or so miles an hour. Luckily he saw that he was going to hit the shore and got off the board, and turned feet first into the shore. He got good and scraped up. Hit and scraped the arch of his right foot and then tore open the skin in between his 2nd and 3rd toe on the right foot. A nice deep tear. So he got 4 stitches. Not as many as Hunter did, but it looked worse then Hunter's, just because it wasn't a clean cut.
So needless to say Jeff didn't get to enjoy the water anymore after that. Since he couldn't get the stitches wet. He did go on the dock though and got to drive the boat sometimes.
Hopefully I will not follow in my "boys" fate yet this year!

Well I just wanted to let you all know that there will not be any pictures posted for awhile. I am having some problems. Ran out of upload space through Picasa. So sorry. I need to find a different place I guess.

Random pictures

Here are just some random pictures I have taken in the last week. One day Hunter was my big helper. He brought his broom out to the kitchen and told me he was going to sweep. Then he proceeded to move the garbage can and swept the dirt from behind it. So then we needed the small vacuum. Here is a picture of him vacuuming the rug in my kitchen. One of the other pictures is of Hunter climbing on dad. The last picture is of Hunter waiting for swimming lessons to start. He actually sat there!

Early birthday present!

90 degrees today

Wednesday

Sorry this post is late and out of order. I just thought I would throw it in here. Wed. afternoon was not a good one for us. Hunter was having problems making it to the bathroom in time all afternoon. So we had 3 accidents to clean up. The first one was actually hilarious, but the second and third one mom did not find as funny.
The first accident he made it into the bathroom and right in front of the toilet, but didn't get his pants down before he started to pee. So he just spread his legs and let it run down and make a puddle on the floor. As he is peeing he is saying, "Oh my dear, oh my dear!" It was pretty funny.
The second time he had an accident in the hallway on the carpet. I told him, "for Pete's sake!" So later in the evening we got home from meeting and he was slowly getting out of the truck and I told him to hurry up. He told me, "Pete's sake, I'm coming!" Haha.
So anyways, that's a little of how our Wednesday afternoon was around our house.

Well this week we have been busy going to swimming lessons every day! Every day is a little much for someone Hunter's age, but he has been a trooper. On Tuesday evening Uncle Daryl came over for a little while and played with Hunter. They played some hockey in Hunter's room with the goal. Hunter put Daryl in the penalty box, that is what the picture is of Daryl sitting in Hunter's bed. The other picture that is not of swimming lessons is of Hunter, dad and Peanut all laying on Hunter's blanket in the living room. Hunter wanted to spread out his blanket and have dad lay by him on it and Peanut joined in.

July 4th weekend

Well we had a good fourth of July weekend. I didn't work on Friday, so we went to the river on Thursday around noon. Hunter enjoyed playing in the water and riding on the jet ski. Threw some fits when it was time to hike back up the dike. He also discovered the grand advantage to being a boy and camping. That was one of the highlights of the weekend. Another was riding the 4 wheeler on the roads into town, for various things such as lattes, ice cream, etc.!
Needless to say we had one fun in the sun filled weekend. So we all got various stages of burn/tan. Also we had one tired out little man by time day 4 came along and it was time to head home. There was much howling when it was time to head home. Sorry no pictures. We got some video pictures, but I have not figured out how to add those yet. You will have to look at grammers Lois picasa, or actually think they are on Tim's. Or you can check out grammers Lois blog. :) Hope you all had a good fourth!
